Antti Rinne from SDP (socialdemocrats) is leading the negotiations to form an new government in Finland and has been interviewing elected members of the different political parties. He was chosen to lead the negotiations because SDP became the largest party with a slim lead to the others.
Some of the parties involved in the negotiations have chosen people working in communications agencies and labor market organizations, for instance to participate in forming the next government in the country. When asked, the parties justified this with the need of expert opinions.
This has caused a stir and a lot of debate wether this is suitable or not.
A famous Finnish lobbyist, Anders Blom stated in his doctoral research last year that Finland would need statutory regulation to strengthen the role of Parliament, because business life has too much power lobbying the People’s representatives in the Finnish Parliament
